Kelly Rice, LPC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Counselor Supervisor with 23 years of experience in the counseling field. My work experience includes teaching in public education for 7 years before becoming a Related Service Counselor in the school system working with special needs children for 23 years. While working in public education I started a part time private practice that I have had in operation for 20 years.

I am currently working as a private practitioner and contract employee for mental health services for public schools.  Among my areas of experience are treatment of anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorders, grief counseling, adjustment disorders, couples therapy, social skills training for autism, transition, and adolescent issues.

I am  an interactive therapist who chooses a cognitive behavioral approach to helping people make
changes in their lives. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help
clients effectively address personal life challenges.  I like to integrate complementary methodologies
and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and
understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal
growth they are committed to accomplishing.
